What is this system Tray Icon and how to remove it?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

First time poster here.

I have two system tray icons on one of my 3 computers running ATI 2019, one of the icons is the AAP and is fine, the other icon does not display anything when highlighted and when you right click on it, it displays 'Status', 'Priority' and 'About' and when clicked starts ATI software.

The other 2 computers only have the one icon AAP.

What is this unknown icon and how do I remove it as I can't see a need for it.

All computers are Windows 7 x64

Thanks

Rodney

Hello Rodney,

This icon is shown when the backup task is in progress and will disappear once the backup is over. It is aimed at informing you that the backup is running.

Ok but the backup is not running, when I look at the backup tab I have a nice 'The backup has successfully completed.' message but I still have the icon.

The icon is always there.

Rodney, on the times when I have seen the 'ATI running' icon staying in the system tray after a task has finished, a reboot has resolved the issue.  The alternative would be to do a Repair Install of ATI in case something has become corrupted / damaged in the application or registry etc.  A Repair Install is simply reinstalling over the top of the existing application without uninstalling first.
