Windows 11 image backup with Acronis True Image 2019 PERPETUAL LICENSE

Thread solved

Hello,

Has anybody successfully taken a cold backup (pre-boot) of a Windows 11 OS image using Acronis True Image 2019 PERPETUAL LICENSE?

I do not wan to go to a subscription plan. I just want to take a pre-boot backup of my Windows 11 installation to an external hard drive.

Thank you,

Abhay

Abhay, you can use the Acronis rescue media to make an offline backup image of your PC.

The key caveats to doing this are:

Ideally the rescue media should be created on the same PC using the 'Simple' method as this uses the Windows Recovery Environment for the Windows PE and device drivers used by the media.

When booting the rescue media, then the same BIOS boot mode should be used, which for Windows 11 should be UEFI (as per the Microsoft requirements for the OS).
