WinPE recovery can't recover partition instead of full disk

Thread needs solution

Hello.  I am using Acronis True Image 2019 on an hp specter x360 with a newly installed Samsung 512GB SSD (NVMe).  I was able to create an image from the original 128GB SSD no problem.  If I do a verify it says the backup is OK.  But when I try to do restore the image from the backup onto the new SSD it fails at the end.

But more importantly.  If I try to select just one disk to recover, the primary partition.  When I am presented with the screen to choose where to put it (I was planning to put it on the same space that the recovery created for it), I try to click on the link to choose the new location, and the system just hangs and nothing happens.  I have to close the recovery windows (this is using the boot image that it created onto the media where I stored the backup).

Any idea what that can be?

Carlos, sorry but would really need to see the log for the restore operation to try to get an idea of what is happening here?

Other questions:  which type of boot media are you using?  Is this WinPE or Linux?
