Acrnois True Image Premium Cloud slower than other cloud services

Thread needs solution

I don't know whether this is related to the covid-19 outbreak and increased use of cloud platforms, but my Acronis backups to the cloud have become all but useless. I have been running the current backup for just over 8 hours now, and it has only just crossed the 15 GB threshold. At this rate it will take more than 2 days to completely backup my partitions.

By contrast, I just came home after taking photos by the river, and I uploaded 8.3 GB to Adobe Create Cloud in just over 7 minutes. Same machine; same configuration; same 100 Mbps connection. Dropbox is equally fast (although I had paused syncing because I thought it might be adversely affecting Acronis).

Can someone from Acronis explain what's going on?

I have not noticed any slowing, but I have not had any large backups (only backing up long established tasks with little change in data).

There does seem to be a max speed at which backups can be done to the cloud, this may have something to do with server optimisation. Performance will also be impacted by which server you backup to and how far away it is. I backup to Au1 which is between 800 and 1000 Km from where I am located. You can test the connection performance of the server that you back up to - see Acronis Cloud Connection Verification Tool. You could also check out the QoS settings on your router to see if that may be impacting on upload speed.

Have you check to make sure that the upload perfomance for cloud backup is optimum give you ISP upload speed.
