Acronis 2020 boot disc and boot sequence.
I just made the boot DVD. My question is if I put the boot disc in my DVD drive and restart my computer will Acronis "see" the boot disc and use it without me changing the default boot sequence of my computer? Thanking in advance for any help.

Assuming your OS is Windows, if the boot sequence currently has your Windows drive listed first, it will always boot to Windows.
You should insert the disk and restart the computer and see what it boots to. If the rescue media boots, you're good to go. If Windows boots you'll need to enter your BIOS and change the boot order.
At the very least, simply creating the rescue media without testing that it boots and that you can restore from it, is not a good practice.
I test mine every two weeks.

TommyR,
In most cases your DVD should boot by placing it in the drive and restarting your computer. The default order a machine bios looks at for a boot file still follows the old way of cd/dvd first so it should work.
Having said that there is a possibility that it will not. You give no PC details so offering suggestions on haw to remedy that is not possible. I suggest that you try it out and see what happens. Worst case is that the PC will ignore the DVD and boot into your normal Windows environment.

TommyR,
Wenn Du kein Tablet hast, würde ich Dir den Acronis Startup Recovery Manager nahe legen

Use the bios one time boot option.
This overrides the default boot order just for that boot session.
The boot order on the bios will always determine what gets priority and the first bootable option in that order will load up. Using the one time boot menu after rebooting (f12 for Dell, esc, f1 for other systems - check the manufacturer documentation of you're not sure what it is).
