Acronis 2020 doesn't "see" backup

Thread needs solution

So I create a new backup on my G: external hard drive, and it's validated upon creation. The folder is called "Dec23Full," and according to File manager it contains one 154 Gb file, identified as an Acronis TruImage backup file.

When I highlight that backup in the list running down the left and select the "backup" item at the top, it shows  ComputerID ...checkmark... Dec23Full, with a green checkmark at the bottom and "the backup is valid."

However, when I click the "recovery" item at the top, there's a brown image of an empty file folder and the message "There's no data to recover yet; create your first backup version to see its contents here." (The semicolon is actually a line break). What's going on?

Hello!

I would suggest you add that backup manually to the vault as per KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/60918.

If it still doesn't work, check the connections of your external disk. The program needs it to be properly connected. Also, check the cables.

You can also try to download the agent again and restore the program.

Feel free to update the thread if you have any questions.

Best regards.

You could also try validating the backup task again. Also, confirm that the drive letter assigned to the USB drive has not changed (this can happen sometimes).
