Acronis 2020 will not let me do recovery

Thread needs solution

I am so disappointed and frustrated.  I just hope this is something I am doing wrong.  This is what is happening.

I have successfully made full disk backups of my C drive on my Windows 10 PC.  I also have a backup of my C drive on my laptop.  Same problem both systems.

I go to do a recovery and I select the backup on my external drive.  I then right click the file and select (I can't remember) I think is Validate which takes about 8 minutes or so.  Anyway after doing that I select to do a Whole disk including partitions all that happens is I only get the option to do system recovery from a point in time.  Just like what Windows has to restore the system to a time it was working.  This is not what I paid for.  I made simple bootable media that works best for this PC.  I made a universal boot disk however it just doesn't matter.  I cannot get Acronis 2020 to do what I bought it for.

Please help.

Greg, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but I am not sure what the issue here is?

When doing any recovery, you do need to select a point in time in order to select the files to be used to perform the recovery, where the most recent point in time is shown by default.  This is normal and has been so for some time as far as I can remember.
