Acronis Backup Possible to convert RAID 0 to AHCI

Thread needs solution

Gents, I have two HDD of 1TB in RAID 0 (total 2GB C-Drive) but only 350GB has been used. I want to put a 1TB SSD into it on AHCI. Can Acronis Backup resize it to 1TB? I'm not able to backup the system because of a bad HDD. Else I would have resized the C-drive to 900MB.

Johan, if you are unable to backup or resize the RAID C drive, then do you already have a good backup of it from before the drive went bad?

If yes, then I would assume that Acronis Backup or True Image should be able to recover that backup to fit on a new 1TB SSD drive given only 350GB is used on the source drive.

Many modern SSD drives tend to use RAID for performance reasons, so you may not need to change to AHCI but would suspect that you would still need to update the RAID configuration as you are moving from a 2 drive array to a single drive.

Please note that I have never used Acronis Backup, only True Image.
