Acronis True Image 2020 clone

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to clone 1TB hardrive to 1TB SSD in a windows 10 environment. When I try to clone the drive, I would see red x on C drive on destination directory. If I go ahead and click proceed, it runs. However after cloning the drive, I cannot access the cloned c: drive. The windows message says, the drive is corrupted, need to format. I have multiple partition on this hard drive, all other partitions are fine, except the c drive. Not sure what to do.

I tried from windows, i tried from media creator (USB) etc. It's a same behaviour. I have un-installed the Mcafee that I had, it did not help. I have tried several times, no help.

any pointers would be much appreciated

thanks
Mano

Mano, welcome to these public User Forums.

How are you doing the clone here?  Are you doing this all from within Windows as if so, then Acronis expect you to shutdown the computer after the clone has finished, then remove the original source drive and replace it by the new cloned drive before attempting to boot again, hence only one drive is shown before doing this.

The reason why Acronis hides the cloned drive is to prevent errors by having two drives present in Windows with the same disk signature.
