Acronis True Image 2020 Stopped making backup
Hi, from nov 23 2021 my acronis stopped to make backup : it stay always thinking about time ..
I've removed TI2020 and installed the new "Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office", but I've the same problem.
I've deleted the backup and created new backup task but nothing.
I've tried AcronisVSSDoctor-net45 and CleanupTool, but I've always the same problem.
I loved Acronis and I used it in my office and at home from long time, but If I don't solve the problem I must change backup tool.

here are the answer to your questions.
What exactly are you backing up here? Is this a Disks & Partitions backup, a Files & Folders one, or is it an 'Entire PC' backup task?

Where are you backing up to? To a local internal or external drive, a network drive, the Acronis Cloud?
[MG] I’ve tried on NETWORK DRIVE and ON USB DRIVE. The scheduled backup was ON NETWORK DRIVE and when I noted it was locked Acronis was not able to access the drive.
I’ve tried to stop the process with no success so I’ve restarted the PC without network and running Acronis the backup process went automatically down, I has been possible to work again with restore files from others backup in the network, create a new backup process but this had always the same problem … remaining locked thinking to the time of the backup.
How long have you waited for the task to start backing up?

What has changed on your PC recently? Any new hardware added? Any new software or Windows updates / new build or version of Windows?

I’ve tried to access an old hard disk copy of my harddisk the 23/11/2021 via usb but it was impossible because the driver had the error “Rilevato blocco danneggiato sul dispositivo \Device\Harddisk1\DR4.”
I’ve installed “Package KB5003791 was successfully changed to the Installed state.” The day 27/11/2021 but the problem arose on the 24/11/2021.
I don’t remember other updates
Do the backup logs for your task show any error messages?
You need to be using the new log viewer tool per the link below.

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.
If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.
[MG] Unfortunately I removed Acronis and I tried to clean all the information, so I have few logs
So I started a new backup today at 19.41 and tried to stop it at 21.23 because was always thinking about the remaining time…
The logs of yesterday have errors because I removed the network to stop the process.
But at this moment (21.36) there are no errore in the logs.

Marco, all I am seeing in the logs is:
Unable to open backup
Inaccessible network sharing
The network path could not be found
which is what you have already found yourself.
I would suggest taking the network out of the equation here by creating a new backup to your USB drive then collect the log for that task if it still gives the same issue.

I suppose the problem is with the access to folders and files because there is no progress in the calculation time for the backup.
The network problem is forced by me because it is the only way I got to stop the backup and then kill the process.
I've tried stopping the antivirus (I've seen there was an update the 24th of november) without solution.
I go ahead with my tests and as soon as I have significant information I will pass it on to you
