Acronis True Image Backup

Thread needs solution

Hi, I am currently trying the trial version of Acronis True Image and have the intention to subscribe to the premium account (which comes with Acronis 1TB cloud storage). However, before that, I have the following queries:

1. I used the online dashboard to try to backup my onedrive account, and I see that there is an option to recover previous versions of my files using the recovery tab. As far as I understand, any backup will take up space in Acronis cloud. However , upon clicking 'Backups' on the dashboard, it says no backups are found and as a result no storage space is consumed.

2. Another question is related to recovery as well. If I accidentally deleted a recovery point,  are there other back-end methods from Acronis that I can restore the backup files (e.g. from some recycle bin folder or from some vault folder where backup files are securely saved and archived)

Hope that my queries can be answered soon. Thank you.

There will be no storage consumed until you add one or more Microsoft accounts and configure the files to be backed up. It is not automatically created. Have you carried out that step.

Hi! If the recovery point is deleted, the data stored in this recovery point is lost (unless you have additional copies). To be on the safe side, consider following the 3-2-1 backup rule

  • Create 3 copies of your data (1 primary copy and 2 backups)
  • Store your copies in at least 2 types of storage media (local drive, network share/NAS, tape drive, etc.)
  • Store one of these copies offsite (in the Cloud)
