Acronis True Image Log In failed

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I bought Acronis True Image 2020, installed the software and tried to log in via software without success.
I filled in my serial number and after that I filled in my log in data. After that a message pop up "log in failed, please try again later or read knowledge base articles".
I have tried the following steps without success:

connection verifier for different ports: Checked and ok
Windows firewall disabled: No success
windows firewall defender checked for different rules: nothing found -> no success

I am using windows 10 and Acronis True Image 2020.
I have acitvated and logged in to my personal acronis account where I can see my product key.

Do you have any idea how to solve this issue?

Is it possible to download the latest version and try to use it with my product key what I bought with the software?

Thanks in advance
Wolfgang

Wolfgang, welcome to these public User Forums.

Have you tried just entering the serial number without logging in to your Acronis Account?

What license type for ATI 2020 have you bought?  Is this a perpetual license or subscription?
If subscription, then you will need to be able to login to your Acronis account but if perpetual you can just use the serial number provided it has been activated for the computer.

Are you using either a Proxy or VPN server between your computer and the internet?  This is known to cause problems in this area.

Hello Steve,

thanks for your quick response.

I didn't find the option only to enter the serial number without logging in to my acronis account.

While starting the software on my computer a separate window opens to enter the key and afterwards to log in.

The serial number is a perpetual license. I ordered the Acronis true image 2020 software cd incl. the key.

How can I find out if I use a Proxy or VPN server between (but I don't think so, it's a private account using the hometown networking connection + AVM Fritz Router 7090) and if yes what would be the solution?

Please see KB 62972: Acronis True Image 2020: How to activate license

If you are using a Proxy server then this is normally shown in the Internet settings.

See webpage: How To Check the Proxy Server Settings on Your Computer

I would doubt that you are using a VPN without knowing so but check as above in the main Windows 10 Settings for Network & Internet.

Acronis Activation doesn't normally work behind a Proxy or VPN wall so you would need to use the offline activation method described in the KB document.

Wolfgang, good to read that this is now working for you.  Thanks for the feedback.
