Activity indication in windows notification area plus option to shut down PC after the present backup/backup Q has finished

Thread needs solution

Justification: I run a NAS, on 24/7. I have various backups sced for my PC  (daily at 20:00, Weekly Monday's at midnight, Monthly Xth day of month at 01:00, etc.), some backup to my NAS, others to a dedicated HDD in the PC. My backup timetable was based on my running the PC 24/7 too, but with the cost of energy so high I've stopped that (that 180W of power is ~ £315/yr these days!). Consequently, when I power the PC back on it will invoke the back-ups it could not do while off, fair enough, that's what I want. So now if I use the PC for a spell and want to shut it off I have to open Acronis to see what's going on before shutting down:

1. Can running backups be shown in the notification area so I know not to turn off the PC if a backup is still in progress so I know not to shut it down?

2. Can the option be added to the notification dialog (in (1) to shut the PC down after completion of the outstanding backup(s) and/or verifications (yes, I sced an occasional verification too!) so I don't have to keep checking if it's safe to shut the PC down?

Chris, by default Acronis shows a notification icon in the system tray area which when you hover the mouse over, shows you a percentage complete for any active backup task.

In addition, you can set your backup task Options > Advanced > Shutdown settings so that the PC is shutdown automatically at the end of the backup operation.

Final comment, if you use the Advanced Scheduler option to wake the sleeping / hibernating PC when a schedule task is due to run, then your scheduled tasks can use this in conjunction with the other settings above to wake the PC, run the backup then shutdown again when done.

The key requirement for doing the wake is to enable 'Wake timers' in the Windows Power options on the PC.
