after recovery, Windows error: "We can't sign in to your account"
(the "account" is the milan...@gmail.com Microsoft account)
(1. I recovered c: from a tibx, then updated Windows.)
(2. Then I recovered c:\users\milan from another tib . )
When I tried in Windows to log in to milan (milan...@gmail.com Microsoft account), I got a "We can't sign in to your account" Windows error.
Get-EventLog:
7849 Jan 24 12:39 Error Microsoft-Windows-User Profiles Service 1511 Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.
7848 Jan 24 12:39 Error Microsoft-Windows-User Profiles Service 1515 Windows has backed up this user profile. Windows will automatically try to use the backup profile the next time this user logs on.
7847 Jan 24 12:39 Error Microsoft-Windows-User Profiles Service 1542 Windows cannot load classes registry file.
DETAIL - Unspecified error
I tried many queries in Google.
I got too impatient and I deleted and re-created my windows account.
For future, I wonder:
Does anybody else get this "We can't sign in to your account" Windows error ... after Acronis recovery?
EDIT:
(but I don't know if it is important)
LATER I found a strange difference between the Acronis-recovered and the new c:\users\milan:
different behavior of
dir
on paths like
'C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\Application Data\Application Data\Application Data\Application Data\Application Data\Application Data\Application Data'
I tried google
"Application Data\Application Data" site:acronis.com .... 1 :
Still unable to remove -6154 and install -7119 | Acronis Forum
I could google:
acronis "Application Data\Application Data"
