ATI 2020 Clean up versions displays incorrect size information!

Thread needs solution

When clicking on the Clean up versions option for new Incremental backup tasks using the .tibx file format in ATI 2020, the size information shown is significantly incorrect!

Doing the same for Differential backup tasks does show correct size information, as is the information of tasks from ATI 2019 still using .tib file format.

Example:  Incremental task shows 'Data to recover: 59.5 GB' on the Backup front page.

The Activity page for this task shows:
01/08 Full - 24.9GB
04/08 Incr - 2.1GB
10/08 Incr - 10.3GB
18/08 Incr - 3.6GB
18/08 Incr - 233.9MB
18/08 Incr - 169.6MB

Clean up versions tells a very different story altogether!

01/08 Full - 27.2GB
04/08 Incr - 26.2GB
10/08 Incr - 34GB
18/08 Incr - 34.7GB
18/08 Incr - 34.7GB
18/08 Incr - 34.7GB
Total - 191.4GB

I recall that we saw this early in the Beta program and were told it was due to problems in the Clean up function.  I thought the Clean up function problems were fixed, but it sure looks like the size display still is wrong.  That would make me hesitate to do a manual cleanup.  I think the automatic clean works correctly.

Hello Steve,

Could you try the same thing on a newly created backup plan? (not many incremental versions needed)

The development assumes that there is some issue with size calculation for the archives which were created on the beta version.

Hi Renata, I think that development may be correct that this originates from the beta application - I did run the same task again yesterday evening and it created a new full backup then followed it by an incremental backup for an unknown reason?  The sizes of the 2 new backup files look to be shown correctly.
