ATI 2020 Non-Stop Backup doesn't show correct files?
I setup a NonStop backup a month ago and have had weird results. I'm just having it backup one folder with 2 files in it. After I edit these files and go to look in ATI NS Backup to on the Recovery tab, it shows a 'filter' at the top with 'Version: Time / Day' options. The Day option just says Today, 1 Week, 1 Month, etc..
I don't understand how these filters work?! The Times that it shows look like the times I had saved my files. And it defaults to 'Today'. But the files that it displays are not from Today. Today is 7/12 and the file that it shows me is dated 7/9 !??
Also, when I change the day filter, the time filter does not change at all. I would expect that I would somehow be be able to view all of the backed up copies of these files so that I could pick the backup that I want to restore.
And when I look in the folder where it stores my backup, it is empty, but the folder is 300+mb. I see the files are hidden in a subfolder.. That is different from the other backups which show their backups.
Please Help?

Thank you Ian. That is good info to know. But I still don't understand where my backups are from yesterday? Or how that filter time / day works. The filter has entries for 7:53pm; 7:43pm; 7:33pm... Which IS when I had saved my file. But a file with any of those day or times is not there??

UPDATE:
I just checked Acronis this morning and now I see the backups from yesterday. But it only has the last one that I saved. So, from what I am seeing, this NonStop backup has to do the consolidation thing (that you posted) before I can see the backups for that day. And it only keeps the last backup. Which will not let me go back to yesterday morning to retrieve a good version of my file. Is this correct? Or am I missing something.
If that's the case then I won't use this NonStop backup at all. I don't think that I understand it.... Arg..

I have never had any need to use NSB personally so haven't tested out its features or limitations!
You may want to try using the existing Schedule option that allows you to make a Daily backup that runs every 1 Hour instead of using NSB, where this uses the more normal backup .tib / .tibx files without the need for consolidation that NSB uses.
As you are only backing up a single test folder, then use a Files & Folders backup task which will use .tib files and create a separate file for each incremental backup that runs. The only real downside here is if you are wanting to capture changes to files made more frequently than the minimum 1 hour schedule option.

Thanks Steve! Yes, I had already switched over to exactly that 1 hour backup. But I wish I could easily make a backup when the file changes. That should be simple...
