ATI bootable media not working on ThinkPad P1 Gen 5
I just received a P1 Gen 5 (Windows 11 Pro, 16", Nvidia A5500 32GB, i9-12900H, 64GB). I have used Acronis True Image for over 15 years and I have the 2020 version. I am unable to boot from a USB flash drive or USB CD that has their backup/recovery utilities.
For the flash drive, I tried one created using Rufus and an .iso from the Acronis site and I also installed Acronis on the P1 and created one from its Tools section (for this one I selected the Linux version). The format is FAT32.
For the CD, it was created using the .iso file and Imgburn.
Using the CD, I can tell that the P1 is accessing it and trying as I can hear the optical head moving, but then it goes on to boot Windows 11.
I am guessing that the hardware is too new. Acronis states that their 2020 and 2021 versions are not officially supported under Windows 11, only their new (renamed) version, which is a yearly subscription-based offering. I only use Acronis for imaging, so I don't care about it running under Windows 11.
Any thoughts on how to get this to work?

Alan, welcome to these public User Forums.
You need to create the Windows PE version of rescue media using the 'Simple' option for the builder application. This should be done from ATI 2020 installed on the new system so that it picks up the required device drivers needed for the same.
