ATI Status Notifications in Windows System Notification Area
I'm not sure in which ATI version this started, but in ATI 2020 I have two ATI-related icons in the system notification area (next to the clock).
The blue square with the white arrow basically is a short-cut method to open ATI, although it also seems to be able to set "priority" of the backup jobs. I seem to recall that at one time this icon was not always present, but now it is.
The other icon (top one below), open a list of recent backup jobs. I have some questions about this list:
- The list seems to grow forever. Is there any way to limit the number of entries or do I just have to manually delete items (which is what I do now)? It's not particularly useful to know the status of a backup job from 10 or 20 jobs ago. On the other hand, the list doesn't always show all backup jobs.
- Interspersed among the notifications about backup jobs are notifications about Acronis Active Protection being turned on or off. I have Active Protection turned on in the user interface, so why and under what circumstances does it get turned off and then back on? Given that I seem to have no control over Active Protection anyway, can I configure the list so these notifications don't appear?
Is there anywhere in the user interface to configure how the list of notifications behaves?

Thanks, Steve.
Your description of the behavior of the older icon is consistent with my recollection. However, on my system, this icon is now present all of the time, whether or not there's an active backup task. The icon is hidden in the "overflow area," so it doesn't bother me and I'm not going to worry about it.
I'll submit some feedback about the other icon.

Pete,
If you do not want to see the newer or greyed icon in your task bar, right click on the task bar and select Taskbar settings. When the Settings window appears click on Select which icons appear on the Taskbar, turn off Always show all icons in the notification area if it is On, and then turn off the Acronis True Image icon. This will remove the newer icon.
