ATIH 2020 - Update will not complete

Thread solved

Running ATIH 2020 on latest Windows 10 (version 1903), 64 bit. When trying to upgrade to the suggested 9/24/2019 build, the upgrade process will not complete (let it run over night).

When trying to reinstalled ATIH 2020, Windows 10 Compatibility Assistant stops the install from running stating "Acronis true image cannot run on windows"

The initial install of ATIH 2020 was fine, and seems to work fine now..

Any advice?

Paul, welcome to these public User Forums.

There should be no issues with updating ATI 2020 to the latest #21400 build as evidenced by lots of users who have already done so, including myself on several different PC's.

I would recommend saving your backup task configuration settings using the option provided on the main Settings page in ATI 2020 (shown as 'Backup settings transfer' at the bottom of the page).

After doing this, then uninstall ATI 2020 from the Windows Control Panel or the main Windows Settings >> Apps & features panel.

Once ATI is uninstalled, download & run the Acronis Cleanup tool (link below) as Administrator to remove any further residual files.  Restart the computer to complete this action.

Now do a clean install of ATI 2020 using the latest #21400 full installer program (download from your Acronis account if you don't already have this).

Once ATI is installed, then go back to the main Settings page and Import your backup configuration settings back from the zip file created earlier.
