Backup operation failed using Acronis Media Builder
For some weird reason, I cannot backup my drives to any drive. I'm getting the following information from the log file:
Information - Operation "My Disk Drives Backup" started.
Error - File system error is found. Consider checking the disk using Check Disk Utility.
Error - A backup error.
Error - Read Error.
Error - Failed to read the snapshot.
Error - CRC error.
Error - Backup operation failed.
As you can see it's riddled with errors, and I have a brand new notebook direct from HP. I have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and I checked the drives using chkdsk and the Error Checking tool - NO Errors found. The boot drive is encrypted with BitLocker and is a GPT filesystem. I was able to do a cloud backup of data, but what I want to do is make a full disk image. Are there limitations? Could it be the Media Builder? I tried a sector-by-sector backup, same result. Not sure what the problem is at this point. Thanks for any help.

Chris, how did you create the Acronis Rescue Media and did you inject support for BitLocker into that rescue media?
I would recommend looking at the MVP Custom PE Builder tool which can add BitLocker support to the rescue media. Link in my signature.
See KB 56619: Acronis True Image: compatibility with BitLocker for more information.

Thank you Ian and Steve. My drive wasn't locked, but I turned off BitLocker for now and installed the Windows ADK's minimal features for building the bootable media. I'll try the MVP Custom PE Builder. Hopefully this will do the trick. Ian, I didn't realize the Bootable Media environment could support a cloud backup. That would be nice if it does. I created the AMB using the 'simple' option originally.
I'll post the results soon if it was successful or not. Thanks again.

Using the MVP custom PE Builder worked well. After doing the above, it worked all right, though I may have some external hard drive issues, as my backup drive goes into standby mode within a minute and during the full backup process, it failed because the destination suddenly didn't exist. So, I used an alternate ext. drive for backup.
I hope to get the Custom PE Builder to recognize my notebook pc's microSD drive, as I have a 128GB card for it, but the current PE Builder isn't recognizing it. So I guess I'll have to inject the drivers for it.
Thanks for the helping hand!

Chris, if you have used the option in the MVP Custom builder tool to build the media using your Windows Recovery Environment files, then it should have picked up any drivers needed for your SD card reader.
