Backups have irregular failures

Thread solved

True Image has begun to fail on an irregular basis.

1). Ran out of space on the backup disk, I had forgotten to turn auto cleanup

2). Turned on auto cleanup

3). using the tools in Acronis deleted all but the last backup set

4). Started receiving errors on an irregular basis.  The backups will run for 5-8 days no problem then suddenly I get errors.  The backup will run again after the error and will eventually work.

5). Nothing in the Event Viewer in Windows

6). Ran chkdsk just in case, no errors

7). Found Several years ago where the advice was to delete the job and recreate it but said the problem had been fixed in an update

Hello Gary,

Seems like you have some issues with Windows snapshots:

error 0x10c482: A fatal error occurred while reading the snapshot. The snapshot was canceled by the system. See system logs for details.

Please, try to run VSS doctor to diagnose what went wrong:

https://www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/vss-diagnostic-free-tool/how-to-…

Also, sometimes rebooting a PC helps to re-register VSS writers and "cure" them.

We are working on a trend, worked 2 days in a row and no problems.  I marked it as solved, if need be I will come back and add a post

Thanks for the help
