Bootable Media disk, stlill loading
Hello, I made a boot disk on a cd, usb stick and SD card. For all the boot, the logo of windows appears the little animation turns and nothing more. It continues to roll without result. Is there something special to do?

Hello Steve,
thank you for quickly answering me.
My system is relatively fast. I have an I7 5820K 3.3ghz overclock to 4.2ghz, 48g ram. The boot disk is an SSD Drive.
I waited about 10-15 min and the window was still the same.

Serge, are you booting in the same mode as used by your Windows OS per the KB document in my earlier reply?
My own boot media (USB stick or bootable USB HDD) both boot in under 2 minutes max into the WindowsPE rescue media on my own i7 laptop.

Serge,
I have seen a few others post of similar issues with an overclocked machine. Can you disable the overclock and try again?

I Disable the overclock and that's the same issue.
Finally I used Windows ADK to create a bootable media and it work.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Just installed Acronis 2020 on my Windows 7 system, and am having the identical issue as Serge. I've tried booting from both a CD and a USB stick. It appears the boot process reads the entire bootable media, but instead of bringing up the Acronis menu, just hangs forever on a black 'Windows Starting' logo screen.
My system is a stock Lenovo W520. Granted, it's old (2011), but it handles our needs as well as ever, so I'm not itching to change. I just upgraded from Acronis 2019 whose bootable media worked fine. Prior to 2020, I have used ATI bootable media multiple times to restore images to new hard drives, and have been spoiled. I know nothing about WinPE, Windows ADK, etc, so am looking for a solution that does not involve them.

Emil, if you have a much older system, then I would recommend taking the Advanced option in the Rescue Media Builder tool for ATI 2020 and selecting to build the Linux based media as this should work easier with your vintage 2011 machine, especially if the 2019 media worked.
See KB 63226: Acronis True Image 2020: how to create bootable media which has more details and step by step instructions.

Steve,
Your suggestion to create Linux-based bootable media from the 'Advanced' option worked, for both a CD and a USB flash drive. Very much appreciated.
Can you refer me to an information source to help me understand why it worked ?

Emil, good to read that the Linux media worked for you. There isn't really any documented reason here other than the fact that the Linux media probably has better support for older hardware than for newer.
The Windows PE boot media tends to work better with Windows 10 systems, especially when using files from the Windows Recovery Environment.
