Build 22510 forgets NAS credentials after backup
Hi, here is another addendum to the problems regarding 22510: My backup stores data on a Synology NAS. This worked flwlessly until I updated to 22510. Backup runs but after the backup is not possble to access the NAS share. After restarting ATI I'm able to access the files again.

Same here, it also fails to backup on the next scheduled backup and revert to automatically save the backup to C: drive, pretty nasty issue and I have submitted a support ticket with all the details.

Uwe, I have just run several backups to my own Synology NAS - for the new ATI 2020 .tibx backup task, I had to reselect the Destination on the NAS but is related to all my tasks having their settings reset by the known bug with the Acronis MMMS servers / service which happened last week for me when I upgraded to 22510 but was away from my home network (so couldn't reset the NAS backup settings).
Once the NAS was reselected I didn't need to re-enter any credentials and the backup ran fine except for another side issue that I had to use 'Add existing backup' to select the existing .tibx file on the NAS before anything would show on the Recovery page.
I have a second backup to the same NAS that was created with ATI 2019 and is still using the older .tib file format, which didn't need any changes at all!
Mohamed, welcome to these public User Forums.
If your backup settings are being lost, then that is a known issue caused by having the Acronis Managed Machine Mini Service (MMMS) enabled / running. Open the Windows Services.msc control panel and stop this service then set the startup type to Disabled, then reset your task settings again.
See forum topic: True Image 2020 -Backup option settings loss - with hundreds of users hitting the same issues.

Interesting, today everything runs fine. I'll keep an eye on that and get back in a few days.
Thanks.

Changes to network connections such as an upgrade to an app or OS require that the network be reinitialized. A shutdown of the updated PC followed by a cold start fulfills that requirement.
