can I backup my pc to multiple disks

Thread needs solution

I just downloaded Acronis 2020 and ran my first backup. My pc has a ssd cdrive 128GB. a d: drive 1TB which is where i store data and an 1TB F: drive which i will use for onboard backups.

Can I perform the same backup on a 1 TB removeable drive for offsite storage?

Can I backup to 2 different drives? I have an internal drive for backup and a usb removeable drive. They are both 1TB. I would like the same backup on both drives.

Stuart, the best method of doing what you are asking is to create separate backup tasks, one for each different destination drive that you want to use to store your backups.  This has the advantage of each backup being fully independent of each other, and will offer you a choice should you need to do any recovery in the future.

Once you have one of the backup tasks setup and working as you want, then use the task option menu to 'Clone settings' which will create a duplicate task with the same settings - edit this duplicate task to set an appropriate name and change the destination to the other drive.

Ugh. The "Preview" button below killed my initial post.

Last week I downloaded Acronis True Image 2020 (I don't know what version) and there was a "Backup Reserve Copy" option under the advanced settings. This option is supposed to copy a completed backup to another folder. Seems like a useful option.

Yesterday, I downloaded version 22510 and the option is no longer there. It is still mentioned in the HELP document.

In the HELP document is says: "This option is not available for the backups that use Acronis Cloud as a backup destination and for local backups created by Acronis True Image 2020 or later."

I guess it was removed from True Image 2020... Not sure why.

Backup reserve copy is only available for the older .tib backups, not for the new .tibx ones.  Acronis introduced Replication in ATI 2020 but this only goes to the Acronis Cloud at this time.

Any older Disk backup tasks brought forward from ATI 2019 or earlier, should still show the option for Backup reserve copy, but not any new tasks created with ATI 2020 as these will default to .tibx file format.
