Can TI 2020 due backups as full discrete standalone backups now?
My backup preferred style is full discrete backups overwriting the older full discrete backups. When I first bought TI 2020 it was not able to accomodate that style of backups. So I went back to TI 2018. Now with the 4th update I am wondering if that old style brute force one at a time back up is now possible.

Steve,
Thank you. How would I go about 'creating a new task' each time. That is essentially what I do in 2018 even though it allows for a new full backup to replace the old one. I have a number of large SSDs in each of my boxes and simply use a different SSD to hold a new full backup. Sometimes I may put two discrete backups in each SSD. I suppose I should learn to trust Acronis, but it is I that am dense so when a disaster happens I want one place to go to get the total and most recent backup and I don't trust a piece of software to provide that to me.

William, the principles remain the same with regard to creating new tasks. You would simply click on the option to Add backup then select your Source, Destination and set options.
In practise, if you are creating separate independent full backups, then you need to use a unique task name each time and should use a matching folder for the destination.
Unfortunately there is no method available of automating the creation of new tasks that I am aware of, so this has to be a manual process.

William,
True Image can perform the backup plan you describe. It is known a Single Version Scheme and can be set using the Options when setting up a backup task.
The links below are from the TI 2020 online documentation. The Description outlines the basics of the scheme along with an example setup. That setup shows schedule as Monthly but all other normal schedules are available under the Scheduling tab.

The Scheme link below gives more detail on this backup plan.
