Can't restore from month-old backup.

Thread needs solution

I backed up my PC computer with True Image 2020 in September, then started moving to a new PC computer. I removed True Image from the first PC but didn't move the TIBX file. I then re-installed True Image on the old PC after I realized I needed to restore the backup in order to access some accidentally deleted files on the PC. However, when I try to Add an Existing Backup, I get the error message "Failed to add the backup to the backup list. The backup may be locked or corrupted. Also, make sure the folder contains the last volume of the backup, and does not contain a renamed copy of the same backup."   Can anyone help me to access or restore from the file?

This error occurs when all files of a backup chain are not available for the app to work with.  You must have all files of the backup chain in the same location to restore the backup.

I realize now that I had deleted the small file that is necessary for the TIBX file to be used. Can anybody access the .doc files that are inside the TIBX? I would pay for that service, and would pay Acronis if they could help me.

You might try using Windows file explorer to open the tibx file by double clicking it.  If that works you can navigate the data and copy/paste what you need.
