Collasion with TortoiseGit/SVN

Thread needs solution

After installing Acronis True Image Build 25700 status cache of both TortoiseGit/svn are not updated.

When using file explorer: the icon overlay remains green even if changes to the file were made

FreeCommander: the icon overlay disappears when changes were made.

Additionaly, there is another internal problem: at the dashboard it shows that the backup has failed but in the Activity tab it was successfully done. Also, it valid and you can restore the files.

I think there should be connections between these two problems.

Walter, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but your topic is the first mention of TortoiseGit/svn that I have ever seen in these forums and I have to admit to having no clue what it or they are or why it would be affected by having ATI 2020 installed.

The only thought is that this may be caused by Acronis Active Protection being turned on by default and you might need to either turn it off or else white list these applications within AAP.

See the following documents for detailed information on AAP.

I see I didn't express myself specific enough. This paragraph was about ATI:

I suppose that both problems (TortoiseSVN/GIT and Acronis dashboard)  are correlated with each other.

Walter, sorry but as stated before I have no idea what TortoiseSVN/GIT is or of any reason why that has any bearing on how your ATI backup status is being shown.  As far as I understand there is no relationship between ATI and the other.

If your Acronis Dashboard is displaying incorrect information about your backup tasks then you will need to open a Support case direct with Acronis to report this.  There have been various dashboard issues which Acronis are working on to resolve, so this may be one of these issues.

If your local status of the ATI backups are shown correctly and you are satisfied with their validity and ability to be used for recovery, then again this suggests an issue at the Acronis servers that provide the dashboard web pages.

Walter, that depends on the protection offered by Kaspersky for your ATI backup files against ransomware, if you are happy with that then you could turn off AAP.
