corrupt file system while cloning

Thread needs solution

so I tried to clone a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB ssd non system drive to a brand new MX500 1TB

the cloning process failed and now the file system on the 500GB ssd is corrupt

got this message when I tried to run chkdsk:

The type of the file system is NTFS.
The first NTFS boot sector is unreadable or corrupt.
Reading second NTFS boot sector instead.
Unable to determine volume version and state.  CHKDSK aborted.

Is there a way to repair the file system or at least recover the data on the Samsung drive?

Bajsan, welcome to these public User Forums.

The first rule of doing any activity such as cloning is to always ensure you make a full disk backup of the source drive in case of any mistakes or errors arising.  If you have a disk backup then that is the easiest / best method of resolving the problem with corruption here.

If you don't have a disk backup of the Samsung SSD, then I can only suggest trying the Samsung Magician diagnostic software tools to see if this will help resolve the issue?

Dedicated diagnostic utilities from the disk manufacturers take the longest time to complete the checks, but provide the most accurate methods of checking whether the disk is good or needs replacement:
