Couple of questions about File/Folder restores

Thread solved

Hi there, got a couple of questions about how file/folder backups work that I figured I'd ask while my first restore does its thing.

1. I've noticed all the files have jargon for .extension names, will this go away once the backup has completed?
2. If I were to stop the restore process before it finishes, will it undo the restore? Likewise question for the backup!

I think that's all my questions for now.

Thanks for reading and have a happy new year guys

welcome to these public User Forums.

1.  Yes, during a restore / recovery of files & folders, temporary file names & extensions are normal and should all be shown as expected after the process is completed successfully.

2.  No, unfortunately, if you interrupt the restore process before it finishes, you will find lots of strange files with extensions containing tilde chars ~ etc left behind.
