Deleting Backup Reserve versions

Thread needs solution

I create a Reserve Backup every night for every computer and use a DOS script within Acronis to delete all but the last 5. It works great (except when it wants the password out of the blue, but that's a minor annoyance). I can clean each backup which will identify the files I deleted with DOS as missing and select them to be deleted by Acronis. But it's a waste of time to go through the process, even if only weekly.

Fundamentally I just want to delete all the versions that are missing because they were deleted by DOS.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Richard, from the ATI 2020 User manual:

Backup reserve copy

Location: Options > Advanced > Backup reserve copy

This option is not available for the backups that use Acronis Cloud as a backup destination and for local backups created by Acronis True Image 2020 or later.

Backup reserve copy is an independent full backup version created immediately after a normal backup. Even when you create an incremental or differential backup version containing only data changes, the reserve copy will contain all the data selected for the normal backup. You can save reserve copies of your backups on the file system, a network drive, or a USB flash drive.

As stated above, Acronis have been dropping this feature from ATI 2020 onwards, and as it is just a second backup created immediately after a normal one, then the simplest option is to create a second backup task to your reserve location then use the normal automatic cleanup rules to manage those 'reserve / second copy' backup files.
