Error 0x4001A

Thread needs solution

I have a full version of Acronis True Image 2020.  Every time I try to recover my system disk I get an error 0x4001A.  I am able to start the recovery process and give the program permission to reboot.  The system enters Linux and prepares to restore my image, then I receive the error message.

Frank, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you are starting the recovery from within Windows using the ATI application, then this will want to restart the system into a limited Linux kernel OS environment which does not have support for various things such as some NVMe type drives, RAID etc.

You need to create and use the Acronis Rescue Media and boot your PC using that media when doing a restore of your system disk.

See KB 63226: Acronis True Image 2020: how to create bootable media and KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media

and reference the Linux boot issues:

Is the image you wish to restore stored on a network location?  If it is you might try copying all of the files of the image location to an internal disk or a USB attached disk for recovery.
