Thread needs solution

I bought a new WD My cloud storage device. I cannot seem to get the Acronis software device to find it. Possibly because my own computer doesn't want to make it part of the network. My old one worked fine and showed the device on the network. I have bee through all the MY Cloud help listings and did all the setup they required. Only two errors. I cannot get the WORKSTATION service to start or the WORKSTATION service to start. I tried to find all their Dependencies but some of those are not even listed on the Services list. I started all the services I could and restarted the computer twice.  I am lost.

Anyone had this problem and know a solution for it?

Robert, welcome to these public User Forums.

Please see KB 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products which applies to free versions of Acronis True Image supplied with new disk drives.

If this is the type of Acronis product you have then these are restricted to how they work by the OEM vendor but often they will expect to find an internal drive of that same make, so may not recognise a network connected drive.

Robert,

A bit of research of the error codes you posted yielded a cause for the error as possibly an issue with Windows 10 Store and/or Windows Update.  I am attaching a link to an article on possible solutions to both.

Thanks. I will check out the update. I am using the new version of Acronis. I bought three licenses to cover my computers. I thought the new WD MyCloud would be a PNP but it is anything but that.
