Event code - corrupt backup?

Thread needs solution

I cannot find any on-line help for the event code below.  Full error message is:

"Failed to add the backup to the backup list. The backup may be locked or corrupted. Also, make sure the folder contains the last volume of the backup, and does not contain a renamed copy of the same backup.

More information about this error and solutions may be available online in the Acronis Knowledge Base.
To access the online resource manually, enter the event code at: https://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/
Event code: 0x01010005+0x00040013"

I recently rebuilt my network & there must be a connectivity issue - back up is located on NAS drive.

I "removed" the old backup from the Acronis 2020 list, then went to "add" a new backup - above was the error.

Questions

Anyone know what this error code is?

Is there a way to rebuild/fix a corrupt backup or do I have to scrap it & start over?

Thanks

I suspect that when you recently rebuilt your network that your NAS was assigned a different IP address to the one used when your backup task was originally created.

What you can try doing is as follows:

First, remove any existing task to the old NAS IP address (remove only the settings without trying to remove everything).

Look to the right of the normal + Add Backup option for a caret 'v' which when you hover your mouse over reveals the further option to Add existing backup.

Use the Add existing backup option to navigate to the new IP address for the NAS, then select the most recent file for the existing backup to be added.  This will create a new task using the selected file name that you will need to reconfigure, including removing any extra characters from the task name if it includes them from the file name.

I did what you suggested the 1st time but selected the original/first backup in the incremental backup chain.

Tried picking the most recent, that occurred after the change of my network - you are correct, the IP address changed.

But, same problem/error message - tried to upload image as few different ways but won't allow it.

Any other suggestions?

See KB 58004: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related to NAS Credentials which still applies to later versions and not just to 2016.
