Full restore not working
I have a full backup last updated on 1/17. I am trying to run a full restore on a clean Windows 10 install after a virus got me. It won't restore installed software--Access denied due to other programs running in the background, but there is nothing running. I paid for PPI 7 hours ago, but have not heard any response to my problem description, so hoping someone on this forum could help.

Ellen, that are you trying to restore here and how are you doing it?
From the above, it seems as if you are trying to restore Files & Folders including Programs from your old backup to a new Windows install? If so, this will not work!
Please see KB 19296: Acronis products cannot be used to transfer applications to different system or upgrade OS
If you want to recover your computer using the full backup from Jan 17th, then you really need to understand that this needs to be done using the Acronis Rescue Media, and that it will wipe out the new clean Windows 10 install as the first step of the process.
The first check that is needed here is that the virus was not present in that backup image?
I would recommend making a new full backup of the working clean Windows 10 OS before doing anything else, as this may save you a lot of time repeating the same install if your backup is already infected by the virus.
