Getting Duplicate Backups with Scheduled Backup Plan

Thread solved

I have two instances of the same Scheduled Backup plan. Why is this occurring?

Thank you

What you see is the naming technique for backups by the application.  Each time the plan creates a backup file it is sequenced as -0001 and increments up to the limit set in the plan.

Thank you for your response Enchantech.  But it appears that I'm getting duplicate copies of the Daily Incremental Backups. See attached Screenshots. (Note:  I've been traveling so I don't always have my external HD plugged in that is why there are gaps in the dates.)

Thank you.

ions, if you do not have the option to make a backup reserved copy enabled (disabled for .tibx backups) then the probability is that the database used by Acronis has information related to both of your destination folders.

You can force the database to be rebuilt as described in KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings

I would concur with Steve on this, best to rebuild the database and see if that changes the behavior.

It looks to me as though you are just looking at the "contents" of two .tibx files... Latitude 5500.tibx and Latitude 5500-0001.tibx. If both of these files are part of the same backup task, then I believe Acronis will show you all the backups available, regardless of which file you are looking at. In other words, it looks normal to me.

Thank you for all your responses.  I will keep it as is for now and observe the behavior.  The primary concern for me was using duplicate HD space but right now I have plenty of space on the HD.

Thanks again!

BrunoC you were correct.  It appears that is the way Acronis does it now.  Here is how it looks after 5 months. (See attachment)
