How to delete back up files to free up storage space?

Hello, I'm not very tech savy so I chose to come here for some help. I bought 500g of storage of the Acronis 2020 version about 8 months ago to back up 2 laptops, 1 Macbook Pro and a HP with Windows 7. Storage has been full in the Cloud since April 4 2019. When I follow the steps to delete old back ups in Advanced clean up and click on the check box to delete back ups from the last 30 days it runs through saying "cleaning up" after 30 seconds or so it says storage is full still. I've tried to delete back ups on both laptops, Entire Cloud etc. I have even tried to delete a single file with the back ups and nothing seems to work, it always comes back with "storage is full". Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? My goal is to have back ups on both laptops to go back about 3 months or so. Thanks in advance!

What are the sizes of the data that you are backing up from your two laptops and what are your backup configuration settings on each?

Screen images of the backup task settings can be helpful.

Do you make backups to any local drives, as if so, that can give you a good indication of the size of data involved if the backups are of the same source data?

Agree with Steve - if each computer is a couple hundred GB (let's say 250GB each), even if you only have one backup of each system, you would still hit your 500GB limit and cleanup would not resolve this because the amount of data being pushed to the cloud will exceed your total storage space.

You may want to open a support ticket directly with Acronis to determine if any cleanup has actually occurred, or not, especially if the total data of just one backup for each computer (or the # of versions you have told it to keep) is supposed to be less than 500GB, but the # of backups has grown beyond that and is not cleaning up properly.

FYI - please take local backups too!  Cloud/offsite is great for "just in case"... like just in case my main computer and the main local backup are both destroyed in a house fire.  However, they are slower to backup and restore.  And, any backup plan should have at least 3 copies of data - no backup is full proof.  The more recovery options and variations of them (type, frequency, location), the better your chances for are of recovery.
