How do I clone an unpartitioned disk?

Thread needs solution

Hi, I have a 1TB SSD which contains a few hundred GB of data, the entire disk is encrypted. In disk management the disk shows up as being online and an MBR disk with the entire drives space unallocated. Now I can mount this drive just fine in other applications, but in Acronis when I go to select devices, this unallocated disk does not show up. How do I clone this drive bit for bit using Acronis?

Ashley, welcome to these public User Forums.

What exactly do you mean by this 1TB SSD being unpartitioned?

How is the 1TB SSD encrypted, is this using BitLocker?

Is the 1TB SSD unlocked when viewed in Windows Explorer?

How are you attempting to clone this drive?  Is this from within Windows using ATI 2020, or are you booting from Acronis Rescue Media?

See KB 56619: Acronis True Image: compatibility with BitLocker - which will apply to other encryption products too.
