How to handle rotating backup drives?

Thread needs solution

I use external 4TB hard drives for backups. I rotate them and have permanently assigned different drive letters. So what I've done with Acronis is create 2 basic backups then created clones of each for the different drives. Is this the best way? For example:

BU 1: backups just entire C-drive onto external disk A

BU2: backs up all documents only onto external disk A

BU3: Only used when swapping out disk A with disk B. backups entire C drive onto disk B

BU4: Only used when swapping out disk A with disk B. backus up all documents onto external disk B

I THINK this is the way to go but just want to check. Thank you!

Ken, your approach sounds fine given you have created separate backup tasks for each of your rotating drives.

Ditto - that seems sound.

However, just to check, when you say the entire C: drive, are you doing an entire disk/parition backup to get the entire hard drive or just the C: drive partition?

Checking for boot-ability in the event you need to restore to a different drive down the road...
