Image Archive corrupted

Thread needs solution

I am booting from the recovery image via usb. I create my TIB file and when I go to restore it, it says it is corrupted. The PC is a clean installation and I have tried to capture the image several times with same result. It is an Optiplex 3050. Just updated to latest Acronis True Image 2020, recreated media and get same thing. Thanks in advance.

Kirk, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but more questions than answers to offer to you.

What version of ATI did you use to create the .tib file you are trying to restore from?

Was that backup .tib file created using the Windows ATI application or from the boot rescue media?

What exactly are you trying to do and how are you doing it?

With ATI 2020, what build version has been installed on your computer?  This is shown on the Account page in the ATI GUI and the latest build is 22510.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the quick response. I am using the rescue media from the latest version of ATI 2020. I am creating a base image, with all my apps, that I can restore to when issues arise.

I just tested with ATI 2017 and it works perfectly, so must be an issue with the hardware under ATI 2020.

Kirk, when using the rescue media, please look at the Logs while still in that environment, and if needed, right-click on the top entry for the log (showing the date / time information) and take the option to Save the log to a place where it can be found after restarting into Windows.

If your ATI 2020 base image .tibx files was created correctly, then you can also try doing a validation of the image from the rescue media - you need to go into the Recovery options and select the .tibx file, then again use right-click to see the Validation option.  This too will create an entry in the Log listing.
