Insufficient Privileges Error when I try to install True Image for Windows 10

Thread needs solution

Hello, I'm trying to install True Image for Windows 10. I'm logged onto my administrator account on Windows 10 ver 21H2. But I'm getting an insufficient privileges error. Technically it says:

The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Acronis.

I even ran the install as administrator. It I look at permissions for this specific folder "Acronis" and my administrator account has full control access. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've poked around on this support site and found similar issues but the suggested solutions in the post were written for Windows XP and the location of those files are different in Windows 10.

Todd, welcome to these public User Forums.

What is the actual version of True Image you are installing here?  Is it ATI 2020 per this forum or is it a different version?

All Acronis versions should be installed as Administrator as this is required for the application to work correctly and have the required privileges needed for creating backups of OS data.

See KB 46710: Acronis True Image: Installation Fails in Windows - for common issues.

The version I'm trying to install is Acronis True ImageWD Ver.39200. I'm poking around the link you sent me to see if I can resolve my issue. Thanks for responding.
