Internal Harddrive not to see by Restore

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Im trying to restore the NVMe-PCIe from the 2nd internal HD, 2TB ST2000DM008, but I can not find it, when I start TI 2020 from USB-E2B. Running Windows it is available to do the scheduled backup by TI.

ASUS MB PRIME -K (LGA 1200, Intel B560), Intel Core i3 10105F

Meanwhile I do a workaround by copying the tibx to an external 2,5er. But this is not the way, I expect to work with it.

Has someone a reason for this?

The only thought initially here is that drive letters are different when booted from rescue media and it is possible that you are not looking at the correct drive?

I try to label my internal drives to make them obvious which they are when using rescue media even if the drive letters have changed.

Hi Steve,

thank you for your reply. You seem to work a lot for noobs like me.

The drive is labeled. Guess how? Its name is Backup.

One thing I haven't tested is, I have forgotten to do the cleanup "make this drive contiguous" for easy2boot.

Next thing, after do so, maybe I've forgotten to look for and relaunch the second test again from my external drive.

I have never used E2B so not sure of whether this is introducing something that is causing the issue here?

I do boot directly from .wim files created by the Acronis rescue media builder tool and have been able to restore backups stored on my own second internal HDD when needed, or when booted from my USB 3.0 HDD drive (set up as a Survival Kit drive) with backups stored on the second internal HDD or from the USB 3.0 drive.
