Laptop super slow when not connected to server - though no backup is scheduled

Thread needs solution

My Acronis is set up so that it backs up my server (which is in the office) as well as my laptop (which is usually in the office). Now I sometimes have to do home office and I purposely have no backup scheduled right now as the backup drive is in the office.

However a whole bunch of stuff is often very very slow when I work from home. I saw that Acronis still works in the background somehow. Since I'm not hooked up to the server it seems to cause the slow response on various programs.

How can I pause the program besides not having any backups scheduled?

Karl, welcome to these public User Forums.

What actual version of Acronis are you using here?  This is the ATI 2020 forum but your list of processes above suggest that you have either ATI 2021 or ACPHO?

These processes should not be having any real impact on overall performance if there are no backups being performed but there are scenarios when that could be the case!

In particular, if you have enabled the Acronis Cyber Protection components to provide antivirus protection etc, then you should not have any other security applications doing the same.  Only one such antivirus solution should be active to prevent deadlock situations.

If you are connecting new hardware to the laptop in your home environment then there may be additional scanning being performed by ACP to ensure you are protected from know risks...

Thanks. I didn't even realize I was in the wrong spot. I had searched for a fitting topic and couldn't find anything and then just created a new topic. I do have ACPHO.
I use it for backup. Since I have a different product for virus protection I have paused it on ACPHO now, I didn't even realize that was on.
I just found it odd that it only happens when I work from home.
But maybe that will take care of it. :)

Thanks again
