"Cleaning up..." has been showing "less than one minute" for a long time now.

There are multiple reports of this happening. I suspect it is doing a cleanup operation.

Is the backup to Acronis Cloud, local HDD or NAS?

Edit: Just noticed the separate time gap for clean up of about and hour so that does not explain what is going on.

(PS the post ended up in the wrong place due to the forum bug when there is an inserted image; it will end up in the correct place eventually - what version of ATI; I cannot remember if you are using 2019 or 2020.)

Using 2020.

Backup to cloud.

I can believe it might take 58 minutes to "clean up" but it sits at "less than 1 minute" for much of that time. Makes one wonder how long that is going to go on for. I'm pretty new at Acronis so still feeling my way around. Now that I look at the history in that screenshot I can see it took about that long the night before. Since it is scheduled to run a bit before noon the time switches from AM to PM making it a bit confusing, especially with that "1 minute" hanging around.

Robert, see forum topic: Acronis Cloud backup long cleanup times for this same issue.

Before doing my backup, I used Acronis to delete ALL my old backups of this partition. The backup (USB) device has 600 GB left for writing. ACP Home has now been sitting at "1 minute left" for 3 hours. The TIB file is 283GB. There are NO other files in the destination folder, so there is nothing to consolidate. This happened earlier today, so I stopped it and tried to verify the backup, but it was corrupted. So I restarted it and got the aforementioned status. This only seems to happen with this particular backup. My other partitions (on other HDD's, SSD's) backup to this USB drive partition (in their own separate folders) w/o any problems. (The backup drive is a 5TB WD Game Drive, reformatted as multiple NTFS partitions).

Hello.

Thanks for participating.

I would advise you to let the backup to finish because if you cancel it's expected the backup file gets corrupt. Please note that as you deleted all the backups a new full backup is being executed and usually they can take more time than usually. It can seem the backup is stuck but in fact it isn't so please double check that.

Restart your computer and try running the backup process again. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.

Check the USB drive for any errors or issues. You can run a disk check or scan for errors using the appropriate utility in your operating system. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows…

Make sure you have enough free space on the USB drive for the backup.

If the issue persists, please raise a ticket with our support so we can troubleshoot the issue. https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Thanks in advance!
