More on "Backups not showing under Recovery tab"

Thread needs solution

I have come across the same problem as in the (now closed) topic "Backups not showing under Recovery tab" (https://forum.acronis.com/comment/526943#comment-526943).

This refers to "Disks and Partitions" backups.  Once one or more backups have been created (and are listed under the Activity tab), the Recover tab shows "No data to recover yet.  Create your first backup to see its content here"

The response marked as a "solution" only solved the OP's immediate problem - because a complete restore was required.  However, that is not the only purpose of the Recovery tab, so there is still a problem with the the software which should be fixed.

Doug, the issue with the Recovery panel being 'empty' has been around since ATI 2020 was released and it can normally be resolved fairly easily by using one or more of the methods below:

Note: doing a restore / recovery is not a method to resolve this issue - that was the focus of the linked topic you mention above because that is what the user was trying to do.

To resolve the issue:

  • Try using the 'Add existing backup' option and select one of the files that are available for the backup task in the destination storage location.   This option is found hidden behind the caret 'v' to the right of the normal + Add backup option.

  • Try validating the backup task which will get it to check for files in the destination location belonging to the task and should then correct any issues with metadata used to populate the Recovery panel.
