Mouse/kbd support in ATI 2016 but not in ATI 2020?

Thread needs solution

I have been using ATI for some time. Recently upgraded to 2020 version and now find that Bootable Rescue Media created with 2020 does not support standard keyboard and mouse. Bootable Rescue Media created with 2016 version does support keyboard and mouse. Same computer/keyboard/mouse in both cases. Is there a fix?

Fredrick, this is somewhat unexpected. I have never had such a problem with Acronis Recovery media. More information is required; is the recovery media being run from a USB stick or CD/DVD - not that it should make any difference. The only explanation I can think of is that Linux rather than Windows RE/Windows PE version is being used - the Windows RE version should when it is created pick up all the necessary drivers for you system.

An extreme possibility is that you booted the recovery media in UEFI mode when the PC uses BIOS/legacy mode, or the other way around. But I really doubt that would cause issues with the keyboard and mouse.

Is there anything exotic about either the mouse of keyboard - are the physically connected to the PC or do they connect wirelessly?
