Need troubleshooting help

Thread needs solution

I can't perform a recovery on my system. I attached the generated system report. I have several partitions on my local  hard drive, and I am trying to perform an entire disk recovery from within windows.

Adrienne, the log from the system report file shows:

In essence, the backup .tibx file you are selecting for the recovery cannot be opened after restarting Windows to perform the operation.

It is strongly recommended that you should create the Acronis Rescue Media and boot the PC from this media when performing any OS disk type recovery operation.

Starting this type of recovery from Windows will cause a temporary Linux based environment to be used which may not have support for all the devices being used, whereas using the rescue media created using the 'Simple' method will have all the device support needed.

See KB 63226: Acronis True Image 2020: how to create bootable media and KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media

KB 63295: Acronis True Image 2020: How to restore your computer with WinPE-based or WinRE-based media

Note: the system report also shows you have a Legacy / MBR boot system so this is the BIOS boot mode needed when using the rescue media.
