Open .tib which has been renamed

Thread needs solution

I renamed my .tib files to .tiby for personal reasons. Now I would like to open a .tiby as if it were a .tib (so it would show up as an explorer view). So I changed the association of a .tiby to ATI but that doesn't open a file view. Is there a way?

Eddy, sorry but the answer is simple here, rename the extension back to what it should be as .tib.

I know I could rename them back but for convince I would prefer another method (like a context menu or something).

Eddy, your .tiby is not a valid extension for any Acronis product so will never be offered as an option for opening such files with an Acronis app.  Acronis creates these files using the correct .tib or .tibx extension in order for the Windows shell integration to know what application is needed to open them correctly.  The same would be true for any other application if you start changing the file extensions they use.
