Recovery-Assistent Destination Disk greyed out

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone,

I have the following problem: when trying to recover an old image from windos 10 on my 2090 mini tower by dell, i am unable to chose the ssd harddirve as an destination. the ssd is simply greyed out.
I have the same modell a second time and it worked fine with a diffrent image there.
did anyone else have that problem before? what solutions should i try?

Thank you very much

Markus, normally when a destination drive is 'greyed out', it is an indication that it does not offer sufficient free space for the operation being attempted.

If you try selecting a larger drive is that shown as a valid destination for the recovery?

 Hello!

I tried to use the 500GB HDD and it is recognizable, but the 256GB SSD won't be recognized. So I wonder why that is?
Any suggestions why that is?

What is the size of your 'old image from windows 10'?  What size of disk was it taken from, how much free space was on that original source disk?  Did the source disk have any issues that might have caused Acronis to use sector-by-sector mode when the backup was created, i.e. any bad disk sectors?
