Recovery Wizard - Doesn't see system drive

Thread needs solution

Hi-

I'm trying to restore an image to a PC that wont boot into Windows.

The Acronis Image is on an external USB drive.

I'm using Recovery Wizard and it doesn't see the system drive of myPC. It sees the USB drive and when it asks me where to write the image to, it doesnt list the internal system drive as an option. It only lists the USB drive itself as an option. Obviously that's not what I want.

Solutions? Ideas?

firedog, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version of ATI are you using here?  Is it ATI 2020 as per this forum or something else or an OEM version provided with new hardware?

The most likely reason for the rescue media not seeing your system drive is a lack of device drivers in the rescue media.

What type of internal drive is in the PC?

What type of rescue media are you using?

For the ATI 2018 & later version rescue media, there are 3 different versions available:
Simple:  created based on your Windows Recovery Environment for WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on Windows ADK (or AIK for earlier OS versions) - WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on a small Linux distro OS (BusyBox) or created from the .ISO CD image download from your Acronis Account page.
