Repeating Error Message - "You have to reboot your computer before running Acronis True Image"

Thread solved

On my Windows 10 PC I keep getting a popup stating “You have to reboot your computer before running Acronis True Image”. I have rebooted several times, uninstalled True Image and re-installed but I keep getting the same message. I even re-downloaded ATI, and tried all the above again but keep getting the reboot message and cannot proceed to load the software and use it.

Brian, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version / build of ATI are you using here?  Is it ATI 2020 as per this forum or something else?

Are you running from an Administrator account as required for ATI to work correctly?

Has ATI ever worked on this computer or is this the first time of trying it?

Found solution in old Acronis tech post.

go to start and run regedit.

find & delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Acronis\InstallReboot

worked for Windows 7 laptop
